Subject recruitment for COmPLETE-Health has started

490 subjects will be recruited in the area of Basel. The recruitment will be based on unaddressed letters sent to randomly chosen districts of the 11 neighborhoods of the city of Basel and 15 municipalities of the district Arlesheim, one of five districts of the canton of Basel-Country.

Based on a previous cohort study in the area of Basel, we expect a response rate of 1–2%. We will send 24,000 letters. The average, household in Basel consists of 1.9 persons. Therefore, we plan to reach approximately 45,000 potential subjects.
